We are seeking to be like Christ

Christian Formation

We have a variety of Christian Formation opportunities for

  • We consider Christian Formation to be the lifelong journey of growing in faith. Through prayer, worship, study, fellowship, and mission we can experience spiritual growth in our lives.
  • We recognize that Christian Formation is the continual process that gives purpose and meaning to our lives as followers of Christ.  UUMC strives to offer opportunities for learning and growth and support for one another as we seek to be like Christ.
  • In addition to the age-specific opportunities below, we have events throughout the year for all ages, such as our Fall Fest and seasonal workshops, e.g., during Lent.

We recognize that our Christian faith journey continues throughout our lives. Our church offers adults a variety of opportunities for learning and growth.

 Sunday School

Children’s Church

It is just as important for our young people to be living out our mission as it is for our adults Children’s Church is held the Second and Third Sundays of each month.  After the passing of the peace, the children (ages 4 and up) will be for Children’s Church.  This will be a time for the children to sing, learn Bible stories, and have crafts associated with the lesson for the day.

Children’s Sunday School/KidsUniversity (KU)

KidsUniversity is our Children’s Sunday School Program.  Parents can give their undivided attention to participating in worship while their children learn in a safe environment.  KU is held at 10:30 a.m. in the parlor.

The nursery is available for children up to 4 years of age.   Parents are welcome to take their children to a safe, loving environment while they worship.  Children must be signed in and out by their parent or authorized adult. The nursery is open beginning 15 minutes prior to worship.
