The Lenten Journey @ UUMC 2020
Spiritual writer Henri Nouwen wrote, “Over the years, I have come to realize that the greatest trap in our life is not success, popularity or power, but self-rejection.” Self-rejection, that inner critic that tells us we are worthless or unlovable, spurs us to find affirmation and fulfill our neediness in all kinds of unhealthy ways. Most likely we’ve all heard that God loves us, but what does that really mean? What does it look like to live a life as if we were truly loved and to become that love to others? Join us on Sundays via live streaming this Lent for our worship series based on Nouwen’s book Life of the Beloved.
